Hull and East Yorkshire Community Grants

Every three months we invite schools, local projects and organisations to apply for one of three Community Grants. The scheme covers the residential areas we serve in the areas of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire and has been designed to reward smaller projects that may have struggled to raise funding elsewhere, to help them get off the ground.

Each quarter three groups benefit from either £500, £250 or £150.

Launched in 2006, we have so far awarded community grants to causes such as a special school that required a uniform and music for its choir, and a school that used the money to create an eco-garden. We provided funding for the Misfits, a group of elderly women who needed the money to continue their keep-fit group and provided the funds for a bridge to be repaired, providing safe access to a village sports field and club.

We are always looking for worthwhile causes to support via the scheme. If you feel that your project in Hull or the East Yorkshire area we serve would benefit from a grant please email cathy.phillips@kcom.com for an application form.
