Bill Halbert was appointed Executive Deputy Chairman in November 2008, having joined the Board as a non-executive director in September 2006. He is the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. He was previously the founding President of Sprint Enterprise Mobility Incorporated, a subsidiary of Sprint-Nextel, the US telecommunications group. He has worked in the information technology industry for over thirty years. He spent the early part of his career with ICL, the UK's leading computer manufacturer. Following this he held a number of senior positions in the developing systems integration market. In 1990 he founded, and for the next thirteen years, was CEO of Syntegra, BT's global consulting and systems integration subsidiary.
Paul Simpson joined the Company in 2000. He gained extensive knowledge of the Group over the following four years through a range of roles embracing Strategic Planning, Business Analysis and most recently as the Group's Head of Corporate Finance. He was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in May 2004. Paul joined the Group from Ernst & Young, having been closely involved with the floatation of Kingston in 1999. Paul was appointed as Company Secretary in November 2007.
Neil Gower joined the Board in May 2004. He is the executive director responsible for our engineering and network operations for the Group. He has spent 25 years with the Company.
Paul Renucci joined the KCOM Group as Managing Director of Affiniti in April 2007. He joined the Board in November 2007 and has executive responsibility for Affiniti. He has 20 years of industry experience, through roles that have included MD of Damovo and President of Nortel's Enterprise division in EMEA.
Kevin Walsh was the Managing Director of our East Yorkshire business from April 2003. He joined the Board in May 2004 and has executive responsibility for our Kingston Communications' businesses. He has been with the Company since 2000.
